Make it count: new networking opportunities at The Facilities Event
15 March 2018
With just under a month until The Facilities Event 2018 (10th – 12th April 2018, NEC Birmingham), opens its doors to the industry, organiser Western Business Exhibitions announces partnerships with FM North and The Hill Club to bring new networking opportunities to the event.
FM North, the Facility Management Professional Networking Association for FM professionals based in the North of England, is set to host an official networking hour every day of the show in both the VIP Area and Catering Zone.
Ian Perton, Managing Director of FM North said: “As the chameleon of the corporate world, FMs are talking to multiple departments, suppliers and contacts every single day, so interpersonal and communication skills are crucial. Getting out and networking with new people is so important in this industry, particularly as we’re all so busy most of the time. FM North is thrilled to partner with The Facilities Event to facilitate a space where you can drop in, make new contacts and ultimately do good business.”
Dubbed the ‘Masters of Mixing Pleasure with Business’, The Hill Club will host an exclusive networking event on the opening day of the event.
Phil Smith, Chairman of The Hill Club said: “It doesn’t matter which industry you come from, people will always buy from people. We can all produce fantastic glossy brochures and emblazon our stands with smart slogans, but ultimately, good business is done when we nurture relationships and have face-to-face time. By combining the networking you’ll do on supplier stands, with The Hill Club event on opening day, you’ll build stronger business relationships with both new and existing contacts. Who knows how many new doors will open for you!”
Drawing over 5,000 industry professionals each year, The Facilities Event delivers a powerful combination of senior decision makers and purchase influencers from across the UK's industrial, commercial and public sectors. With a compelling range of unique educational content available to the visitor and a wide and varied exhibitor offering, this is the "must attend" event for all facilities professionals.
Tim Else, Event Director, The Facilities Event said: “We have partnered with networking gurus to provide visitors and suppliers with some truly dedicated interaction time whilst at the show. Facilitated networking time is so important at live events, or before you know it, your day is gone, and you’ve not spoken to anyone on your list. Come see FM North and The Hill Club, invite your contacts and make that hour count each day.”
