AM Support Services acquires Cleanex
24 August 2016
Facilities Management specialist AM Support Services has expanded its operations with the acquisition of industrial cleaning specialists Cleanex Contract Service Limited.

Established in 2002, AM Support Services now employs 480 full and part-time staff on contracts across the North West, North East and Yorkshire. The acquisition of Cleanex has supported its growth and enabled it to move into the Midlands market. This development will increase its turnover to around £8m.
Adrian Cresswell, managing director of AM Support Services, said: “We are delighted to have acquired Cleanex and to welcome its specialist skills, knowledge and staff into the AM Services family. Both businesses are owner managed, have grown organically and have been nurtured since inception. They are an ideal fit and timing is ideal following two recent major contracts in the industrial sector where these specialist skills are required. This move will support the continued growth of the group and will help facilitate the roll out of our expert services nationally.”
On the acquisition, Chris Condiff, operations director at Cleanex Contract Service Limited, said: “We are incredibly happy with the new buy-out arrangement that has taken place with AM Services. We are looking forward to new challenges and opportunities ahead which will enable us to roll out our services nationally.”
Established in 2003, AM Services Group is a Facilities Management provider, offering cleaning and security services primarily across the North of England. Clients include Stoke City Football Club, The Lanes Shopping Centre, Toyota, JCB, Airbus and Lucite International.
