Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust became a user of the new TASKI Trolley integrated cleaning system from Diversey to support cleaning and infection control operations in wards.
A complete set of tools and equipment is available so that the TASKI Trolley system can be configured to support microfibre, spray-and-wipe,wet-mop and general cleaning applications.
Trials with the infection control team in Harrogate confirmed that the trolley met their requirements. In particular, the team was impressed that the design of the trolley allowed it to be taken apart for cleaning and decontamination. Another feature was the inclusion of a waste bag without a lid.The Trust's previous trolleys had been supplied with a lid but these had caused concerns among staff that they could become contaminated.
The range of 160 boxes, drawers, trays and other components can be mounted in different positions on the chassis. With the colour coded lids, choice of mops, cloths, wipes and other tools, the potential number of combinations is said to be limitless.
The trolley can be configured to prevent cleaning staff from stooping, bending or stretching to access any tools or equipment. Mop boxes, for example, pop out of the side of the trolley so that a fresh mop can be attached without bending or extra effort. Components can also be positioned to maximise workflow efficiency.
