Cleaning auditing software to meet new standards launched

04 November 2021

MYAUDIT SOFTWARE: Created with NHS auditors, ensuring it meets the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 and has unique features which see it hailed as a cleaning auditors dream. **Register interest for an open day with NHS auditors involved in its development**

The National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 are now in place across England which will see improvements towards high quality and safe cleaning services, contributing to overall patient experience and care. Categories of risk have been expanded therefore requiring an improved and more robust auditing process to be put in place to ensure the environments within NHS organisations are kept clean and audited to the levels required and expected.

Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust (MTW NHS Trust) have been working closely with GV Healthcare throughout the development of the MyAudit tool and have been an early adopter of the new standards, taking a proactive approach to ensure their Trust is at the forefront of healthcare cleanliness requirements.

Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust said: “We were delighted to be asked to get involved in helping GV Healthcare create an auditing tool to meet the new National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021, allowing not just our Trust to benefit, but many other NHS healthcare organisations across the country too.

"To enable Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust to drive and deliver improvements set out in the new National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 with continuity to achieve the expected standards, MyAudit intends to offer our Trust a future-proof, innovative and flexible digital system, demonstrating safe standards and high levels of cleanliness are being met.

"The MyAudit tool will provide and emphasise assurance, compliance, traceability and trend analysis supporting the Facilities team to encourage and develop continuous improvement within our service”.

Richard Iveson at GV Healthcare said: “Many other Trust’s have given their input into the creation of MyAudit , which has resulted in it being made by those who will be using it, for those who will be using it – ensuring MyAudit has been developed as an easy to use piece of digital software with specific features to help make the job needed from it run as seamlessly as possible.

"Some of these unique features include: Kanban board-style real-time visuals an interactive dashboard and Red, Amber, Green (RAG) reports to ensure progress and targets are being met. These close-partnerships we have formed with numerous Trust’s are the foundations of the success of our solutions – if any other Trust’s would like to speak to us about anything, they can contact us at: [email protected] or visit www.myauditchecks.com.”

The Facilities team, at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust are looking to host an open day in the coming months for other NHS colleagues from around the country to visit and gain first-hand experience of MyAudit’s benefits and insight from those already using it.
