The London-based cleaning specialist, which provides its services to some of the most famous landmark buildings in the Capital, won the awards for Shopping Mall under One Million Sq Ft with Landsec for One New Change, London and Best Cleaned Premises – Office Areas above 250,000 sq ft with JSRE, 30 St Mary Axe (aka The Gherkin).
The Professional Golden Service Awards, which demonstrate the highest levels of achievement in the cleaning services industry, were organised by Kimberly-Clark and held in central London on Thursday 8 March 2018, hosted by actress Sally Phillips.
Commenting on the awards, Douglas Cooke, CEO of Principle Cleaning Services, said: “We are both grateful and proud have won these awards, which are testament to the partnerships we have developed with our clients and the hard work and dedication of our on-site teams.”
Principle were awarded the contract for One New Change in April 2016. It is one of Landsec’s most prestigious London locations, situated next to St Paul’s Cathedral and attracts city workers and tourists in abundance due to its superior office accommodation, high-end retailers and desirable restaurants spread over eight floors and attracting over 12 million visitors a year.
The company has worked with 30 St Mary Axe, one of the most iconic buildings in London, since 2010. The building’s design makes it a unique and challenging contract from a cleaning perspective. Spread over 40 floors, primarily of office space, there is also Searcy’s private function rooms, a restaurant and a bar area on the top three floors.
