BCC announce Jongbloet appointment
16 January 2018
The British Cleaning Council (BCC) has announced the appointment of Patrick Jongbloet.
The British Cleaning Council (BCC) has appointed Patrick Jongbloet to its Secretariat function.
Jongbloet will take responsibility for all the BCC’s budgets and financial activity, as well as managing external suppliers, as part of the newly created role. He will work closely with the BCC's secretary general, Pat Wherton, supporting him and the BCC Executive across a variety of projects and campaigns as well as being the main point of contact between the BCC Executive and the 21 trade and membership associations which make up the Council.
Prior to joining the BCC, Jongbloet spent over 20 years working in the facilities management sector. This included ten years as a senior consultant with the FM Guru consultancy and five years at Emprise Services ending his stint there as Group Director. These roles saw him work on national and international projects for a diverse range of clients including Eurotunnel, Primark and the Royal Mail Group.
Commenting on his appointment, Jongbloet said: “The BCC is the undisputed voice of cleaning in the UK, an industry which is worth over £24bn to the national economy and employs 700,000 people. I’m therefore greatly looking forward to using my experience gained over two decades within FM and related industries to support the Council and its members, helping to strengthen this vitally important and dynamic sector in the process.”
