CHSA backs CSSA inaugural awards
24 November 2016
The Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association (CHSA) is delighted to announce it has signed up as a Champion of the inaugural CSSA Awards.
The CSSA Awards have been developed to recognise everything that shines within the UK cleaning sector – great products, great systems, great contractors and great individuals.
“Our focus is on standards,” explained Stephen Harrison, chairman of the CHSA and managing director of Harrison Wipes. “Our Accreditation Schemes for Soft Tissue, Plastic Refuse Sacks and Industrial Cotton Mops are widely acknowledged as having driven up standards. Championing the CSSA Awards is, therefore, a natural step for us as it celebrates the very best of our industry and shines a light on best practice.”
The awards programme, which is open to anyone in the industry, has six categories – Contract Innovation, Training, Environmental & Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, ‘Best of the Best’ New Products, and Outstanding Contribution. Nominations opened on 14 November, with the deadline for submissions being 24 January. The winners will be announced on 15 March at the Cleaning Show.
The rigour of the CHSA’s Accreditation Schemes is underpinned by the audits conducted by the association’s independent inspector. He visits scheme members repeatedly through the year, selecting product from the warehouse and production line for inspection. He confirms the labels comply with the relevant scheme’s specification, the dimensions of the soft tissue are as specified and the industrial cotton mops and refuse sacks are fit for purpose and the dimensions are as specified.
