New ways of working ‘is the way forward’ for cleaning industry
20 April 2015
New ways of working offer most benefits to the cleaning industry for the future according to a new online survey.
A poll run by the industry blog site www.cleanleanhealthcare.org asked visitors what they thought offers most opportunity for the cleaning industry.
An overwhelming 68% of those who took part in the vote – run by Jigsaw Cleaning Systems – thought new ways of working offered most opportunity, while 32% opted for new innovative products and services.
The question was posed as part of a survey on the industry blog site which highlighted the growing concerns over cleaning standards.
Brian Boll, operations director at Jigsaw Cleaning Systems, said: "We believe there needs to be a shift towards new methods of working, using new kinds of materials such as Masslinn cloths. Dust really does present a hidden danger to hospitals, causing health issues including asthma and skin irritations.
"Masslinn cloths are a highly effective way to reduce the amount of dust in the air by ten times if used as part of a cleaning regime.
"New technology like this can lead the way in infection control and it is heartening to see the use of Masslinn cloths increasing as more NHS trusts and other health organisations see them as a genuine improvement on traditional systems."
Innovations within the industry offer significant savings in time and money for organisations, with the use of modern methodologies leading to more efficient cleaning systems, added Brian.
