Middlesbrough based Polar (NE) has updated its corporate identity
to better reflect the type of business it is now winning.
The commercial windows, doors and curtain walling company now has the significant Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Standard, OHSAS 18001, plus the ISO 140001 environmental accreditation. These sit alongside its previously awarded ISO 9001: 2008 quality accreditation.
Managing director, John Wilson, said: "The existing Polar logo had been around since the company was established in 1983, and it was time for a change: Around 95% of our work is now education, NHS or MoD related, and while we were all very fond of our polar bear,we wanted a new identity that more accurately reflects our business profile.A new polar bear logo now appears on Polar literature and on the company's website." Polar is currently working with nine local authorities on a mixture of new-build and refurbishment projects all over the North East of England.
