Window cleaning technology has come on leaps and bounds in recent years with images of the traditional squeegee being replaced by high-tech solutions.Building owners can now expect a far superior finish quality, financial savings and not to mention environmental benefits, explains facilities management firm Gate Ventures
With over a decade of window-cleaning experience Gate Ventures has it down to a fine art. Short of it being viewed as a low-skilled, easy to enter profession,Gate Ventures prides itself on years of refined methods and using only the finest materials and technology to achieve long-lasting, cost-effective and efficient results.
Reach & Wash
With this in mind Gate Ventures is a keen advocate of the Reach & Wash air craft pole system technology having originally enlisted it for its water-saving and health and safety benefits. With significantly less leakage and over-spilling, the Reach and Wash air craft pole system eradicates the need for ladders or ropes reducing the risk of accidents compared to more traditional cleaning methods. Even without ladders and ropes, the ability to reach high windows is not compromised as the Reach and Wash system is still able to achieve heights of up to 25 metres and beyond.
Go with the flow
Gate Ventures further enhances its window-cleaning offer with a sophisticated water filtration system to ensure a steady flow of clean water is available for a crystal-clean end result. A common complaint of traditional squeegee methods, is that unclean water leaves smears and remnants on the window surface. To overcome this problem Gate Ventures has invested in equipping its fleet of vehicles with an inbuilt filtration system. By purifying the water until it reaches a negative state, dirt is naturally absorbed without the use of chemicals and drying without streaking. The result - a finish that naturally repels dirt meaning a longer-lasting and more costeffective result for the customer.
Tevin Tobun, managing director, Gate Ventures Facilities Management comments:"At Gate Ventures we make a conscious effort to stay abreast of the latest technologies and methods to deliver the best possible service to our clients. However we also realise that businesses are faced with many concerns in relation to legislative, economical and environmental issues which is why we also take these concerns into account to make sure our window and general cleaning solutions achieve on all of these levels too."
