Quality accreditation and excellence

Peter Grant Papers has announced the appointment of Phil Kinvig as the company's new Quality and Health & Safety Manager.

Working across the business, Kinvig's task is to identify and share best practice throughout the company,work collaboratively with all employees to develop improved processes and secure the relevant ISO accreditations within two years.He is targeting ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 18001 for health and safety and ISO 14001 for environmental issues.

"There's been a major change in the strategic approach to quality in recent years," says Kinvig. "Where once the focus was on adhering to set procedures, paperwork and audits, it now centres on the concept of continuous improvement.

"Securing the accreditations will help embed this concept throughout the business which in turn will help us maintain customer service excellence."
