PASMA launches Tower Safety Week 2016

14 November 2016

PASMA, the trade association representing the international mobile access tower industry, has launched Tower Safety Week 2016 – the only annual campaign of its type in the work at height sector – which will run from Monday 14th to Friday 18th November 2016.

With a focus on ‘working well with towers’, it’s set to promote height safety, develop industry knowledge and skills, and connect with a wide range of tower using industries – including cleaning, maintenance and facilities management.

Throughout Tower Safety Week – now in its fifth year – partner organisations will be showing their support by spreading the safety message through new infographic content and by hosting their own special events during the week.

PASMA members across the globe, their customers and industry at large will also celebrate the versatility of towers and their increasing use in a wide range of different and challenging applications.

PASMA’s chairman Carl Evans said: “Tower Safety Week is dedicated to keeping people safe when working at height. It turns the spotlight on towers and provides a unique opportunity to inform and educate both existing and potential users.”

Resources for 2016 include an expanded website, new campaign graphics and the return of old favourites such as the High Tower Challenge and the See a tower, take a selfie! competition, aptly re-named Tower selfie GO! for 2016. Above all, says PASMA, the event will provide a snapshot of national tower use and thereby help shape future safety led campaigns, training and user guidance.
