The Building Futures Group sets the wheels in motion

14 April 2014

The Building Futures Group – the new organisation resulting from the merger of Asset Skills, the CSSA (the Cleaning and Support Services Association) and the FMA (the Facilities Management Association) – has announced that its new website is now live.

It features details of the organisation’s membership offering, networking opportunities and links to Asset Skills Training, the recently launched training arm of The Building Futures Group.

The Building Futures Group is now the only organisation collectively representing the housing, property, cleaning, parking and facilities management sectors in the UK and is a training provider in all five sectors. The Building Futures Group is also the trade body for facilities management and cleaning.

The new body says that it is committed to providing a platform for members to create new business opportunities and helping individuals develop their skills and expertise. As member companies seek ever increasing standards of service and value, The Building Futures Group aims to assist them in improving their trading positions through innovation and thought leadership.

Asset Skills Training, which launched in April, aims to be the trusted provider of workforce training and will offer specialist and bespoke training in all areas of FM, cleaning, housing, property, building maintenance and parking. The programmes have been designed by a team with years of experience in the industry working closely alongside large and small businesses and organisations to shape vocational qualifications and training.

Sarah Bentley, chief executive of The Building Futures Group, said: "The knowledge and experience our team has in these industries positions our training company Asset Skills Training to offer forward thinking and responsive workplace training that truly meets the needs of employers.

"Asset Skills Training offers learning programmes at beginner level through to advanced. We hold face-to-face courses where we make use of our interactive display at our London headquarters, or we can offer virtual classrooms online. We can also tailor programmes according to what a particular company needs through an excellent in-house training offer.”

Established in 2014, The Building Futures Group announced its new name in March. The body says that the name reflects the organisation’s commitment to developing individuals working within the industry, as well as safeguarding the buildings where we live, work and play, now and for the future.
