Secure work platform can cut costs October 1st 2008 Lobo has secured an initial contract to supply Safestyle UK with
13 modular access system kits – 12 for its depots and one for its
training facility. The Lobo System is a work platform that can be
configured to meet any access application,"from the installation of
windows to the maintenance of a space shuttle". It is put together
without any tools and its patented clamp provides a safe and secure
working facility up to a maximum height of 10m. Personnel can
reconfigure the system, adapting it from one project to another, with
ease.
Safestyle UK is a leading manufacturer and installer of high quality
PVC double glazed windows. "Because our business involves working
at height we required a safe access solution to install our products.
Lobo ticked all the right boxes. The quality and versatility of the
product is excellent," says Andy Clegg Safestyle UK's head of
installations & FENSA co-ordinator."Prior to purchasing Lobo we subcontracted
all our work to scaffold firms with our spend spiralling in
to tens of thousands of pounds. We are already making considerable
cost savings with Lobo."
By fitting wheels, Lobo can be moved around a site and it can be
assembled, taken down and reassembled quickly. It is easy to flatpack
and transport. The equipment is made in the UK and is available

The HSE is again highlighting the risks associated with using a dodgy ladder.
Ladderstore.com gets behind HSE Ladder Exchange 2008 with discounted ladders
in various kit forms or to meet specific
applications, Lobo engineers will design
a bespoke system. One of its benefits is
that extending kits can be purchased to
accommodate changing needs.
"Many of our customers are
companies whose conventional annual
scaffolding spend ran into hundreds of
thousands of pounds and, even with
such high costs, immediate availability
could not always be guaranteed," says
Robert Bokros, Lobo Systems'MD."Add
to that the cost of paying a daily hire
charge once the installed equipment is
on site and the cost benefits of Lobo are easy to appreciate.
"Evidence from satisfied users on both sides of the Atlantic
illustrates cuts in scaffolding costs, reduced down-time while waiting
for it to arrive and be erected, and less reliance on outside
contractors. In most cases the payback time for Lobo is measured in
months when compared to
conventional scaffolding." More articles from Lobo Systems Ltd: |
