Building confidence wins contracts
June 1st 2008 AFI-Uplift has achieved full
'BuildingConfidence'
accreditation under a scheme
run by supply chain accreditation
firm,Achilles Information.
To gain accreditation,
companies have to demonstrate
a high level of competence in
health and safety, quality
assurance and control,
environmental management,
business continuity,
subcontractor and supplier
management, social and ethical
controls, and plant and
equipment management.
The accreditation follows a
thorough and rigorous two day
audit at AFI's head offices.
The accreditation led to AFI
gaining one of the largest
contracts ever awarded for the
hire of powered access machines
– the first phase of 'Media
City:UK'at Salford Quays,
Manchester.The project is being
undertaken by Bovis Lend Lease,
who stipulated that suppliers for
the contract had to seek
BuildingConfidence
