Training & support
August 1st 2005

LCC Support Services, the £10m London based cleaning contractor and facilities management company has set up a new human resources and people development (HR & PD) department to support and train its 2 000 and growing – workforce.

Bob Vincent, LCC’s managing director said: “Our profession has historically bought the cheapest labour, suffered huge staff turnover problems and client complaints caused by untrained workers. We have grown our business by delivering our Client promises from a strategy of employing quality staff, training them well and incentivising them. We have now set up a team of three HR&PD staff, which is very unusual for a company of our size, but the only way forward.” The team is headed by Yasmin Ullah HR&PD Manager who is supported by Emma Metcalfe HR&PD Advisor and Joanna Vincent HR&PD Assistant.

The HR&PD team has planned a road show around all its UK and Channel Island client sites. The team will shadow members of staff at all levels and then recommend a personal training and development.
