April 1st 2004

The British Window Cleaning Academy is stepping up its training programme this year to offer regular monthly one-day courses and an expanded syllabus. Now run from Ionic Systems new headquarters in Swindon, the Academy is an accredited NVQ centre, supported by City & Guilds, Wiltshire Tech and Business Link. Courses have a high practical element and are aimed at all window cleaners, from a one-man band through to a national contract cleaning company. As well as the usual skills and health and safety courses, the Academy is running two new courses. a marketing skills course aims to help window cleaners grow their business, while a course on water-fed poles links in well with new HSE guidance notes for water-fed poles that will be introduced later this year.
