Impressed by the performance of a Saturno Super steam vapour cleaning system at one of its sites, a shortbread maker has now bought the system for a second plant in Scotland. It will be used to clean around the bases of conveyors and mixing machines, checkerplate wall areas, and so on. Cleaning staff no longer have to get on their knees to clean as the lance tool and wall suction tool will enable cleaning to be carried out from a standing position. The Saturno has a steam, detergent and water injection system for rinsing, or adding extra wetness to steam if required. The company believes that, with its vacuum facility, the steam cleaning system is the most advanced on the market. It is expected to save the site money on both water and chemicals.
