Protects against gum October 1st 2005 Removal of discarded blobs of chewing gum is a £150m a year problem that requires specialist cleaning equipment.
Magic Cote is a low VOC, aqueous surface protection system that gives a durable protective barrier against chewing gum on stone, concrete, tiles, brick, block paving, marble, tarmac and other porous or mineral surfaces.
Although chewing gum sticks to surfaces coated with Magic Cote, it does not adhere and can be removed easily by conventional street cleaning equipment.
Non-hazardous, the product can be applied by one person using a lowpressure sprayer, roller, brush or mop, at a rate of 250mL/m2. It requires no resin binder system and is therefore odourless.
Magic Cote is said to be non-slip and UV-resistant. Re-applications is not necessary for up to 10 years and treated areas can be used by pedestrians straight after application. |
