Ozone kills bug May 1st 2005 Developed to eliminate the risk of cross infection in commercial laundries, JLA‘s OTEX Validated Ozone Disinfection injects ozone into the wash process to kill all bugs regardless of the cycle.
It is said to be effective on Clostridium difficile, along with other bacteria, on all wash cycles, including low temperature cycles.
Microsearch Laboratories carried out tests on nurses’uniforms contaminated with a strain of MRSA.Care labels recommended a 40°C wash. One test, therefore, used a conventional 40°C wash; a second test included an OTEX cycle. The 40°C wash had little effect on MRSA.However, the company says that after the OTEX cycle, there was no viable trace of MRSA.
