New Tork products and services
February 1st 2004 SCA Hygiene Products will have a 153sq m stand where many of its products will be on display. These will include hand towels, soaps, toilet tissues and dispensers for the away-from-home washroom plus wipers for use in various industries including engineering, automotive, food and catering.
Among the products on show will be soft hand towel Tork Xpress Comfort. This is made using through-air-dried technology which involves a current of air being blown through the tissue as it dries, fluffing up the towel and increasing its bulk, strength and absorbency.
Tork Xpress Comfort is aimed at premium hotels, restaurants and offices but is also particularly suitable for use in food and healthcare environments where frequent handwashing is carried out. Softer hand towels are user-friendly and promote good hand hygiene, while rougher towels can discourage people from washing their hands because they may cause chapping and soreness.
A hygiene shield on the Tork Xpress-Box dispenser protects the product from contamination before use and ensures that each towel is touched only by the user. It also minimises waste because the shield prevents the user from taking out more than one towel at a time.
