New brush: truckers trial
May 1st 2005

So effective and easy to use are Vikan’s HiLo brushes that staff at the Lymm Truckwash now have to keep them under guard to prevent the brushes ‘walking’.

Owner John Cardwell says “It was cleaning parts such as chassis, wheels and the back that the mechanised gantry wash couldn’t reach that created problems, and wooden brushes lasted all of two days.” John was then encouraged to trial the waterfed HiLo brush from Vikan Transport Systems.

The ergonomically designed brush helps increase cleaning productivity by ensuring maximum contact of the brush filaments at all heights of the surface to be cleaned. It has a specially shaped solid polypropylene stock, with rubber protected edges and is filled with Vikan’s nylon flagged filaments.

Enthusing about the brushes, Cardwell says “They last for months and don’t seem to wear out. But, because they’re so well designed and productive, so of our visiting truckers have their eye on them.”
