More absorbent
April 1st 2004

Kimberly Clark Professional has introduced its Airflex fabric to its entire range of Wypall L Wipers that are designed to cater for the food service and manufacturing sectors. New, simplified ranges of small roll, centre feed roll, roll control and folded formats offer benefits such as increased absorbency, strength and utility savings. The company says that while conventional paper manufacturing processes crush fibres, creating a sheet that is flat and dense, Airflex fabric has hot air passing through the sheet so the fibres are left in tact. This is said to make the fabric more than twice as absorbent as conventional paper, reducing the number of wipers needed for a particular task and thereby helping to lower a companys maintenance costs.
