Matting rolled out in Korea

An entrance flooring system from Plastic Extruders is used by the Lotte Group in Korea for its 250 supermarkets and retail outlets that include airport duty-free shops.

As part of a major rollout programme across the country, all public entrances have been upgraded so that the ingress of dirt on shoes is reduced.

As the winter weather can be harsh, Plastex Korean distributor, BMS, proposed Frontrunner Brush entrance flooring system.The usual absorbent inserts in the PVC grid are replaced by nylon brush inserts.

This has proved effective as a primary barrier in removing heavy dirt and slush.

At most Lotte sites, Frontrunner Brush is laid outside each entrance and is complemented with conventional 100% Frontrunner inside to provide additional scraping and cleaning of shoes.
