Innovative congress programme

ISSA Interclean will be in Amsterdam RAI from 11 14 May 2004. Following on from last issues preview Cleaning Matters brings you another selection of the latest products and services on display at this years show as well as the congress programme The he 20th ISSA/Interclean will have a more international flavour than ever before. As the leading international event for the professional cleaning industry, ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam has already attracted more than 500 top companies from the world of professional cleaning, maintenance and building services industry. The show will feature national pavilions from North, Central and South America, Italy, France and Great Britain. For the first time this year there will also be a Spanish pavilion and Asia is represented by some 17 companies from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea and China. Some 25 000 visitors from all over the world are expected to visit during the four days of the show, with yet again the comprehensive congress programme set to prove a further draw for those professionals looking to pick up on the latest international developments in the cleaning and maintenance industries. Two sessions of round table discussions will be held on Tuesday 11 May and Thursday 13 May. Tuesday morning's discussion will examine in detail the accession of the ten new members of the European Union and be followed by an in-depth discussion on the consequences for the entire professional cleaning industry. There should be something for everyone in the second round table debate, which will cover the correlation between manufacturer and distribution, currently one of the hottest subjects in the industry. Wednesday's programme will use case studies to explore the world of differing cleaning and hygiene practices that can be applied to counteract SARS, MRSA and Norovirus (the plague of cruise ships) and other public health risks. The entire congress programme is free to all registered visitors to the exhibition. Anyone interested in attending can pre-register on the show website www.issa-interclean.nl. ISSA Director of European Services Mark Armitage expects this year's ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam to be the most dynamic ever, "This is an invaluable opportunity for anyone who is or wants to be anyone in the cleaning, hygiene and building services industries to communicate and interact with other the leading specialists in their field." Innovation rewarded Many companies launch their new products and services during ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam. The International Interclean Innovation Award is presented in order to focus the spotlight on the most striking new products. The winner of this prestigious competition, which is being held for the fifth time, will be selected by an expert, international trade jury.
