High frequency chargers added
October 1st 2004

Chloride Motive Power has launched two ranges of singlephase battery chargers for small electric vehicles, such as cleaning machines.

The ZH and CH are high frequency chargers that offer multicharge profiles for different battery technologies: flooded; maintenance-free gel; or low maintenance.

The CH model is an on-board version. It allows machines to be plugged in at the nearest 13A socket.A facility is available to allow for a safety interlock, so that the machine cannot be charged and used at the same time.

At less than 3kg, the chargers are said to offer the optimum ratio of power to weight.Compact and robust, they cope with mains fluctuations and are fan-cooled.

A tri-coloured led indicates charge status and warns of any faults.
