Four new challengers February 1st 2004 Four new Challenger machines a litter vac, two burnishers and a scrubber dryer will be joining other representative models from Walter-Broadleys extensive range of battery-powered floor cleaning equipment at Interclean (stand no. 03.332).
Walter-Broadley is now a Tennant company and, for the first time, will also exhibit a number of Tennant machines. The full range of Tennant equipment will be seen on stand 01.169.
The new Challenger Boss Hog is a robust and reliable litter vac with traction motor. It has a collection width of 750 mm (30) and a bag capacity of 260 litres. Its battery power makes it quieter and more environmentally friendly than petrol or LPG machines, while its excellent suction means it can clear debris such as cans, leaves and paper.
Well balanced and easy to operate, the Boss Hog can be used inside or out, on rough or smooth surfaces. The traction motor allows it to tackle inclines with ease.
A large diameter 96-inch-long wander hose for lifting litter from flowerbeds and steep slopes is offered as an optional extra.
The Challenger Zippy 430 is a new cordless burnisher whose ultra-high speed produces a deeper shine than slower models but requires less time and effort to achieve it.
It has a 24-volt high-tech motor that delivers 1500 rpm. Its 430mm (17) pad provides the productivity needed to burnish large areas in the minimum time.
Highly manoeuvrable and easy to operate, the Zippy 430 is a very quiet machine and has no mains cable so it can be used safely during normal working hours when the public is present. It features a tilting head and safety cut-off for easy and safe pad changes.
Another ultra-high speed cordless burnisher making its
exhibition debut at Interclean is the Tristar 2000. Its 1800 rpm produces a really high shine while the 660mm (26) pad ensures high productivity.
A 36-volt battery, interchangeable for extended running time, gives powerful performance to this robust machine whose traction motor and operator-friendly controls also make it very easy to use.
The new scrubber dryer introduced to the market at Interclean is the Challenger 641, whose short length and superb handling qualities allow it to clean large areas in a short space of time.
Offered with a choice of 641mm or 801mm cleaning widths, the new machine has a twin-motor scrubbing head, which tackles the toughest cleaning jobs on both industrial and decorative floors. The robust scrubbing action, combined with large 76-litre tanks, makes for a truly heavy-duty performance.
A water economiser reduces cleaning fluid consumption by up
to 50 per cent, thus increasing productivity as fewer refills are required, while a manual override allows extra fluid to be applied when necessary to heavily soiled areas. The Challenger 641 has uncomplicated controls and a battery-box design which ensures quick battery changes, without tools, for double shifts. More articles from Walter-Broadley Machines Ltd: |
