Deposit dirt at entrance
October 1st 2005

Fortis, a finance company in Belgium, keeps its offices clean with the help of Frontrunner Brush entrance matting supplied by Plastex distributor, Sanimat.

The company wanted to maximise the amount of dirt removed from footwear before personnel enter the building. The original idea of an aluminiumframed entrance system was rejected because the external paving was uneven and the company believed heavy traffic and trolleys would damage the system unless it was expensively retrofitted into a new matwell.

The Frontrunner Entrance flooring system comprises various options based on a vinyl grid with absorbent parallel insets that clean, scrape and dry shoes effectively.

The more aggressive version of Frontrunner Brush was chosen.

Absorbent insets are replaced with nylon brushes, and the matting's flexibility allows it to contour over the paving while remaining stable underfoot. Chamfered edges on three sides allow easy access.
