Cleaning Boots October 1st 2004 MacLellan International has been awarded a contract (circa £12m) for Boots. It will provide cleaning and janitorial services to over 300 stores.MacLellan was up against tough competition in the competitive tender, and is transferring around 800 people under the TUPE agreement rules.
Robert Cattell, divisional director for MacLellan, explains:“I believe we won this contract because Boots were impressed with our proposed operational structure that is totally dedicated to Boots.This structure enables our operational team to be fully integrated with with the Boots store teams, and our service to be matched to the specific demands of each store.
Michael Hunter, business services manager for Boots, commented: “When we were looking at new suppliers for our cleaning contract, we were not only interested in their operational competence but also in the management of the company.
