Blackpool Council uses a wide range of Nilfisk-Advance machines, including compact scrubber/dryers, commercial vacuum cleaners and twin-speed burnishers to clean libraries, schools and community centres.

Nilfisk-Advance machines satisfy the ‘Best Value’ principle, which must apply to all products and services purchased within the public sector.

In particular, the twin-speed burnisher means daily maintenance and annual renovation of hard floors can be handled with one machine.

Given the variety of locations, the Council’s cleaning staff must be able to handle a wide range of floor cleaning demands, including carpeted surfaces, vinyl, tiles and sealed wood.The team uses the compact CA 340 scrubber/dryer from Nilfisk-Advance for daily maintenance of all types of hard flooring.Twice as fast as mopping, the CA 340 walk-behind unit leaves floors clean and dry in a single pass.

It has a choice of three brushes with individually adjustable pressure to ensure thorough cleaning on flat and uneven surfaces.

In addition to scrubber/dryers, Viking dry vacuum cleaners provide a versatile kit for cleaning carpeted areas, and hard surfaces with the easy to fit mop attachment.A 10 litre dust bag means fewer bag changes.With 20% greater suction power than other machines in its class, just 4.7kg and with large rear wheels and front swivel castors for ease of handling, the new machine is proving popular with the Council’s cleaning staff.
