Moving equipment out of the way to perform a cleaning job can sometimes be more hassle and take more time than the actual cleaning itself. Whatever the task, if furniture has to be moved, and often it does for the best cleaningresults, Sliderz has an easy method of moving it. Particularly suited to carpet cleaning, floorcare of all sorts and hospitals where thoroughness is essential, Sliderz enables one person to move heavy objects on their own. Sliderz are rather like a pair of skis, the object is tilted and the Sliderz are placed under it at the edges. The object can then be pushed easily along the floor. It is also possible to manoeuvre the object into place using Jbars.

Developed in the UK and launched two years ago at the Ideal Home Exhibition, the product base is made from a specially developed compound which creates an extremely low frictional resistance to allow easy sliding action. This base is bonded to a thin but dense foam pad with a high grip surface. This protects the object being moved while keeping it firmly in place. There are two types of Sliderz; long and short. The short ones can be placed at a point such as one under the each leg of a table, the long ones slide under the whole side of a cabinet for instance.

It is suitable for use on carpets, natural wood floors and ceramic floor surfaces. The advantages are that it enables one person alone to move heavy items reducing the danger of sprains and strains. Sliderz can also be left under items which are moved frequently.

The product has achieved the Silver award at the Home & Hardware industry awards 2005, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minster is using them and Croydon Council comments that they are “the best thing since sliced bread”!
