Free 'wonder wipe' sample
December 1st 2009

As the healthcare sector prepares for a Swine Flu pandemic, infection prevention products company Vernacare is offering free samples of its Tuffie 5 cleaning and disinfecting wipe, which is scientifically proven to eradicate the Swine Flu virus, as well as Norovirus, C. Diff and MRSA.

"Many Trusts are using Tuffie 5 as a simple and effective method of cleaning and disinfecting hard surfaces and equipment – as it destroys all five major groups of pathogens, including the H1N1 virus, on initial impact," says Chris Socratous,Vernacare product manager.

"On busy wards, the preimpregnated wet wipe saves valuable nurse time spent preparing chlorine based disinfecting solutions. What's more, industry tests show that the wipe's disinfecting properties continue to work after cleaning has taken place." Independent laboratory tests have certified the wipe effective against the H1N1 (swine flu) virus to EN14476 standard, says the company.

All pathogens tested have been reduced by Log 4 or greater against BSEN standards, meaning 99.99% of bacteria, including C.Diff, have been destroyed.
