Wipes firm broadens UK footprint
October 1st 2007 With a new dedicated national sales office,European wipe manufacturer Ecoline is
ramping up its UK activity. It now seeks further UK distribution partners
Specialising in the manufacture of nonwoven wipes for the
professional user, Ecoline has particular strengths in industrial,
janitorial, print, automotive and food service markets. It
produces wipes in perforated rolls, folded sheets, flat sheet and
interfolded sheets for a wide range of distributors and brand
marketers.All wipe products are designed either to solve a specific
wiping problem or to offer better value alternatives to leading brands
while retaining equal or better quality
Products are marketed under the wipe-away brand,which the
company says reinforces the quality and value-for-money image that
Ecoline stands for.Additionally, a large proportion of the company's
business is in private label and own brand manufacturing.
Many of the products Ecoline manufactures are already becoming
well known in the UK, such as the Hightextra range of
Cellulose/Polyester spunlace wipes which are available in smooth or
creped texture and are heavy duty, durable wipes for a wide range of
demanding industries and applications such as press cleaning,
engineering and industrial wiping and
automotive panel wiping.
The company significantly
expanded manufacturing ten years
ago and now ships to over 200
distributor partners throughout
Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle
East. By investing heavily in converting
and packaging lines, Ecoline claims it
now has one of the most technically
advanced and efficient plants
in Europe for the manufacture
of nonwoven wipes.
The firm now seeks to
continue its European success

market is following the tissue market and is becoming more
commoditised with manufacturers and converters increasingly

Ecoline currently serves the UK business from a large,modern
warehouse and production facility in Belgium which is only 80
minutes from the Channel. All standard products are available from
stock for quick delivery into the UK, and the firm claims delivery times
are often significantly quicker than UK companies who make to order.
To complement the range of nonwoven wipes, Ecoline also
manufactures a range of hygienic tissue products and distributes spill
control products.
