Many listed buildings have no safety anchor eyebolt systems, and window frames often leak, so using reach and wash or pure water technology is problematic.UP2 Access has the solution

Historic buildings have been a passion for me throughout my career," says Peter Hulstrom, UP2 MD.

"I've worked on many over the years, including a number of Grade I buildings of national importance." These buildings are often not allowed to install anchor eyebolt systems, or the appearance of the systems would not be in keeping with the aesthetic of the property.

Hulstrom says he has enjoyed overcoming the challenges presented by such factors, but has always been aware that access difficulties and the constraints imposed by the nature of listed buildings were areas that needed to be addressed.

"We recently purchased the new CE Marked Rope Access Portable Rigs from Clear Cleaning Access Solutions,"says Hulstrom,"and we're delighted with them.

Our access problems are solved." "This rig is a CE Marked portable suspension anchorage system that can be wheeled into place, and it's attracting a great deal of interest from specialist contractors who need safe suspension during rope access," says Richard Emanuel, Clear Cleaning's director."It's also valued by high level window cleaners who want to use the rig internally to facilitate the need to provide self rescue solutions." UP2 argues that fixed suspension anchor eyebolt systems are expensive to install and have to be annually inspected. There's also an additional six monthly examination at further cost. The company says portable rigs don't incur any of those expenses.
