Clearly on course for safety
February 1st 2009

Clear Cleaning has secured 100% Government Funding for Merton College's NVQ2 Window Cleaning Course, ensuring workers are skilled and safe

Richard Emmanuel, director of Clear Cleaning, is convinced that NVQ2 Training results in measurable safety improvements.

That's why Clear Cleaning workers are to benefit from NVQ funding supplied by Linden Management and Merton College. The cleaners will be trained and assessed in batches of five, with training having started in November 2008.

"Our goal is to have our first ten window cleaners fully qualified by the end of February," says Emmanuel."This is an exciting time for Clear. Many of our clients are committed to setting a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 2, so in future, companies who employ window cleaners without this level of competency will not be working on our client's contracts." Clear Cleaning takes its training and competency responsibilities very seriously."Safety is paramount to us,"Emmanuel explains."We believe the information gained through the NVQ process will significantly contribute to our cleaners' safety-skills – and as a director that's exactly what I want. I need to be confident that all our staff are hazard-aware, and likely to be going home safely at the end of the working day."For more information please contact the company.
