Venture into Indian territory

Vileda Professional's parent company, Freudenberg Household Products (FHP) is launching a joint production and sales venture with Gala Brush, a leading Indian manufacturer of cleaning products.This is FHP's first move in India.

FHP will hold a 60% interest in the joint venture. It will operate through a new company, Freudenberg Gala Household Products Pvt, managed by an experienced team of Gala family members and Freudenberg employees.

Located in Mumbai it will employ Gala's current 200 strong workforce.

"This joint venture continues our proven strategy of longterm relations with local family companies," says Dr. Peter Bettermann, Freudenberg management board."Our aim is to build a leading position in this growing market."
