Cleaning Products Europe August 1st 2009 IntertechPira has announced a programme featuring seven leading brands from the
cleaning product and appliance sectors as well as key suppliers,NGOs, and regulators
This year's Cleaning Products Europe, taking place on 29
September – 1 October, has moved from London to Hotel
Bloom! in Brussels. It will deliver a pre-conference workshop and
2-day conference focusing on sustainability, cleaning appliance
technology, novel ingredients and formulations, regulations, future
strategies and discussion on how to succeed in this sector despite the
recession.
"Cleaning products touch the lives of all of us, and
consumers are becoming ever more conscious about the
environmental impact of their retail habits," says Robert
Stead, head of conference production at IntertechPira.
Sustainability will be the main theme throughout the conference
as key players in the industry are now turning towards
environmentally friendly products. Stead continues,"This presents
both challenges and opportunities for companies across the entire
cleaning supply chain.The aim of this event is to bring together all
the key stakeholders to share experience and knowledge, debate the
issues and form a coherent strategy, the ultimate beneficiaries of
which will be the population and the environment."
The pre-conference workshop led by Dr Peter Douben of
REACHWise will go beyond the understand of REACH legislation itself
and will help participants to gain full understanding of the
mechanisms involved and practical issues of Chemical Safety
Assessment. Morning sessions of the first conference day featuring
presentations from Euromonitor,Aise, Sigwatch, Forum for the Future,
CECED and IFRA will analyse markets and industry initiatives.
In the afternoon, the leading brand owners will talk about their
brand strategies for cleaning products and appliances.Delegates will
hear from Unilever, P&G, Reckitt Benckiser,
JohnsonDiversey, Ecover and Electorlux.
Day 2 will commence with presentations from
Dragon Rouge, Envirowise, London Waste and
Recycling, and Fostplus which will be discussing
sustainability of cleaning products' packaging and design. IKW and
Reachready will look at the recent developments in regulations
affecting the industry. An update on innovations in formulations and
the supply chain from the foremost chemical suppliers such as
Novozymes, CIBA (part of BASF), Rhodia and Croda Europe will also be
given.
Cleaning Products Europe 2009 is the 'must-attend' event of the
