Aquafactors' legionella beater April 1st 2008 Aquafactors has always
considered legionella
contamination to be highly
unlikely to occur in its water-fed
pole and mobile cold water
systems.However, the subject
has ben highlighted by firms
promoting hot water systems –
heightening uncertainty about
a very serious disease.
Aquafactors now sells a
simple UV sterilisation unit
which can be mounted
alongside existing kit and linked
to a vehicles' 12 volt DC supply.
The UV device consists of a
ultra violet lamp which is
housed in a aluminium column
through which the water,
travelling to the pole, flows.The
consistent light from the lamp
eradiates the water which is
sterilised (disinfected) with the
UV rays. Ultra Violet light is an
excellent 'bug killer' and will
eliminate bacteria,mould, algae
and viruses as well as legionella.
