For RoHS compliant washrooms
June 1st 2006

Cannon Hygiene launched a stateof- the-art RoHS-compliant washroom product range at Interclean in May – in time for the new RoHS Regulations which become law on 1 July.

The range will be universally compliant under the legislation aimed at restricting the use of hazardous substances used in electrical and electronic goods. But Cannon says it also incorporates design innovation in a new generation of washroom dispensers which combines contemporary design with leading edge technology. The launch, at Interclean in Amsterdam followed extensive prototyping and trialling of the new range to ensure the optimum balance of contemporary design with functionality, reliability and conformance.

The fully co-ordinated range includes automatic and manual soap dispensers, a hand cleanser dispenser, fragrance unit, an auto sanitiser for urinals and toilets, a water management system and a toilet seat sanitiser gel dispenser.

Oliver Weisflog, Cannon Hygiene's managing director, said the range generated great enthusiasm at its Interclean preview. "It not only meets the latest EU regulation but conforms with global standards in component safety.

It is the culmination of extensive research into market requirements and a highly creative design approach."

Suppliers placing products on the market which do not comply with RoHS are at risk of facing unlimited fines.
