A sticky end for flying insects
August 1st 2005

Vectair Systems’ flying air care range has just got bigger – with the introduction of the new V-Tac 700, and the V-Tac 750.

The new designs for the V-Tac range compliment the already popular fly-trap models, which aim to control the amount of flies and insects in an area to improve hygiene.

Each V-Tac unit attracts flying insects by emitting UV light at 350 nanometres – the optimum wavelength for insect attraction. Attracted into the V-Tac unit insects are entrapped on a glueboard discreetly hidden within it.

The V-Tac units have proved very popular among a wide range of customers, who choose to install the V-tac in places such as the office, reception areas and retail premises. The added bonus of the unit is that it does not emit any substances which could affect food and therefore humans – which makes it ideal to use in catering outlets. Also, it has constant effect that does not need to be administered like an aerosol – switch it on and the work is done for you.

The new V-Tac 700 is a completely new design, with a fanlike shape making it arguably the most attractive V-Tac unit on offer.

The stylish design ensures it could be mistaken for a light or furnishing fixture, ideal for when pride in appearance is of utmost concern.

Owing to the shape and the opaque steel construction, the flies enter the V-Tac from the top, concealing any trace that the unit is a fly-trap at all. It can be wall mounted, and is effective in room sizes up to 40m2.

The V-Tac 750 is ideal for larger areas, as it can attract flies in room sizes of up to 180m2.
