Richard Vaal, franchisee of Safeclean Cheshire, is celebrating after winning the company’s ‘Franchisee of the Year’award for 2004.Richard was chosen from almost 100 Safeclean franchisees across the UK for achieving consistently high turnover and excellence in customer service.

Richard was joined on stage by Safeclean franchise operation director, Paul Roberts, when he received the accolade as part of Safeclean’s annual awards which recognise exceptional levels of achievement amongst its franchisees and their staff.

Marking the award, Roberts said: “Richard consistently surpasses the expectations of his customers with a quality of service which is second to none. This is undoubtedly the secret to his continued success as a Safeclean franchisee.

“He has continued to achieve turnover levels which set a fantastic example to franchisees throughout the Safeclean network and to the domestic cleaning industry as a whole. He is reaping rewards by driving his business forward and he deserves all the trappings of success that come with running a flourishing franchise operation.” Safeclean is a full member of the British Franchise Association and was originally founded in 1970 by Oxfordshire entrepreneur Desmond Cook who started the business with just a natural sea sponge and buckets of foam.Today the company has almost 100 franchisees with several being part of the Safeclean network for over 20 years, some of whom are turning over up to £250 000 a year.
