Nationwide Hygiene Supplies recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary year with a meeting of UK partners in Lisbon.

It has been a momentous year for the company with four new major UK & Ireland partners joining the progressive group. Thamesmead Business Services from London, Shorrock Trichem from Atherton, Manchester, Unico from Falkirk and Martin Services from Dublin & Cork in Ireland, all attended their first Nationwide overseas conference.

Nationwide is an integral part and a co-founder of the joint venture company INPACS GmbH (International Partners for Cleaning & Hygiene Supplies) the largest European wholesaler and service group. All the partners groups are also investors in the business, so they are totally committed financially to the success of INPACS).

Looking ahead to 2012 chief executive, David Scholes said “We are ideally placed for another successful year. Having a centrally based Nationwide operation with a 35 local branch network means we can consolidate our costs and maintain efficient delivery. Our customers do not want their cleaning and hygiene supplies going half-way around Britain before they receive their order and having to pay unnecessary costs for that journey.”

Most of our companies being family owned have invested for the long term in their businesses during 2011, improving and optimising their premises and expanding their fleets of vehicles.” A fleet that now numbers over 200 vehicles.
