Deadline extended for the Green Business Awards 2010 May 28th 2010 UK companies that are pushing boundaries to help save the planet have an extra two weeks to enter the Green Business Awards. The deadline for entries is now Wednesday, June 2.
For the first time, winners of the 2010 Green Business Awards will be eligible to compete against winning initiatives in Europe. The awards recently received Royal Society of Arts accreditation, which enables winners to compete at the prestigious European Business Awards for the Environment (EBAE).
The awards, supported by Management Today and ENDS, a leading source of information for professionals on environment, sustainability and climate change, celebrate the most innovative, ambitious and effective initiatives by UK business for achieving environmental sustainability and implementing smart business practices.
“If your company has amazing, award-worthy green initiatives, this is your last chance to enter this year’s Green Business Awards," says Nick Rowcliffe, editor in chief of ENDS. "Being green is not only good for the environment, but good for business too – giving your company an advantage over competitors. A Green Business Award is the ultimate accolade of your company’s green credentials.”
This year’s award categories have been refreshed and grouped into sections about carbon management, environmental management and green business development. There are fifteen categories for companies to enter, including Eco-friendly product, Green buildings & facilities, Clean manufacturing and Waste reduction & recycling.
The awards will be given at a London ceremony on Tuesday, November 2.
