Get connected to a fully recycled flushable alternative August 2nd 2010 The scourge of washrooms is when roll towels designed for hand-drying get flushed down the toilet either by accident or design.
Oh the cost, the inconvenience!
And yet the solution is obvious - flushable towels with the added bonus of being100% recycled.
It seems a contradiction in terms, a towel designed to absorb moisture that disintegrates in water. But it is exactly that balance between achieving a satisfactory drying performance and yet degrading when flushed that has been the challenge faced by manufacturers, a challenge met by our flushable range of ‘Leonardo’ roll towel. But why have we created such a product?
Well, roll towels do seem to appear in toilet bowls. More so in some circumstances than in others and when they do, they tend to block it really quite thoroughly. Now whether their introduction is accidental as in “well bless me I’ve dropped three towels down the toilet in the mistaken belief it was a waste bin” or a deliberate piece of vandalism as in “Reprimand me, right….!” the consequence is both costly in terms of repair and the source of considerable discomfort and complaint.
The consequences are unpleasant, but the monitoring of the facilities is difficult. That’s when a flushable is worth it weight in gold.
Of course it’s not just the accountable cost, there’s the disruption and indignation and embarrassment to be taken into account. Which can leave you red faced too. So red faced or flushable. The choice is yours.
