Touchless cleaning improves safety and hygiene January 29th 2010 Hydro Nova believes its new Integrated Cleaning System represents a 'true revolution' in touchless cleaning. The ICS 8920 multi-cleaner simplifies the cleaning process and has been specifically designed for high volume regular daily use. Hydro Nova says research has shown that the touchless approach can reduce cleaning time by as much as 67% and also reduce the consumption of both water and cleaning chemicals, saving users time and money.
The fully mobile ICS 8920 can be used for a wide variety of applications including urinals, sinks and toilets. Because it is battery powered and requires no power lead, there are no trip hazards and it is easy to manoeuvre. This also means it can provide effective cleaning in hard to reach areas including undersides of fixtures. There is no need for mopping as the integrated wet-vac leaves the floor dry with the recovered wastewater stored in a separate reservoir tank ready for easy disposal.
There is an onboard pump and dilution control unit that sprays and foams diluted chemicals using patented technology. The unit also has an easily filled 100-litre fresh water tank and a battery-operated wet-vac. The system is environmentally efficient too. Energy consumption is lower than mains powered machines and it uses 40% less chemicals and 50% less water than manual cleaning methods. Noise levels are also extremely low. The company says it has already proven to be popular with operators, improving staff morale and retention. It eliminates brushes, scourers, cloths and mops and is simple and intuitive to use by any operator.
