Why flush a urinal when nobody is in? March 2nd 2010 Historically urinal timers flush regardless of whether the building is occupied or not, which wastes water and adds cost. Bio8 says most existing flush controllers are limited in their capabilities with set programs or flushing regimes and cannot be easily adapted to meet the requirements of each site. PIR solutions can be disorientated by excessive movement and are difficult to install and maintain. Timer solutions just offer a number of flushes spaced over a 24 hour period, regardless of whether the building is occupied or not.
i-Flush allows you to control when you flush and more importantly when you don’t flush. A simple to use large LCD display allows the user to program the period during the day or night when flushing is required, and when flushing is not required i.e. when the building is unoccupied. Targeted flushing provides a more efficient system and can significantly improve the performance of waterless sleeve solutions.
i-Flush gives you the power to choose the days of the week you want to flush, and which days you don’t. A simple push of a button pauses the flushing regime during holidays or factory shutdown weeks, and a press of a button restarts flushing when the building is reoccupied.
When used in conjunction with quality bacterial solutions, it's claimed i-Flush can reduce water usage by up to 96% with the use of direct feed flushing using a patented airbreak. A rugged IP57 waterproof case means that the i-Flush is robust and reliable and is designed for damp environments.
"When we saw what the i-Flush could offer in terms of functionality over and above the products currently in the market we knew there was huge market in the UK and Europe," says Andrew Hiron, Bio8. "Everyone has immediately recognised the service improvements and the savings i-Flush can offer to their customers.”
