ISSA/INTERCLEAN innovation awards November 24th 2009 Innovation is crucial to successful business operations even at professional cleaning companies. This is why ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam will be organising the ISSA/INTERCLEAN Innovation Award for the eighth time. The award goes to the best innovation in professional cleaning anywhere in the world. Companies can enter until 22 January 2010. The products, concepts and services nominated will be on show in the Elicium during ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam, which is to be held from Monday 26 through to Thursday 29 April 2010 at the Amsterdam RAI.
There are three categories for the awards:
1) Machines, accessories and components
2) Equipment/tools for cleaning, care and safety
3) Cleaning services
The jury assesses the innovative character of the entries. Additional criteria are whether the entry offers new opportunities for increasing turnover and margins, makes working more pleasant or improves quality. The jury, which consists of entrepreneurs, experts and journalists, all believe innovation is very important.
The ISSA/INTERCLEAN Innovation Award has developed into a prestigious prize. And the winners can attest to this. Last year's winner was Israeli company UltraClean. Owner Avi Kafzan informed us that winning the award has given the product an enormous boost. "As a direct result of winning the ISSA/INTERCLEAN Innovation Award, hundreds of people came to visit our stand. After the fair we got inquiries from more than 200 companies and we trust that starting next year we shall be able to start marketing overseas."
The registration form and the competition criteria can be found on the website: www.issainterclean.com click here.
The jury will announce the nominees in February 2010. They will then jointly select the category winners and an overall winner, who will be presented with their prizes on the first day of the ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam on Monday 26 April 2010.
Every company that participates in the competition pays an entry fee. All the entry fees received for the ISSA/INTERCLEAN Innovation Award (excl. VAT) will be donated to a charity. The proceeds of the ISSA/INTERCLEAN Innovation Award 2010 will be donated to the African Medical & Research Foundation (AMREF) Flying Doctors. Amsterdam RAI will sponsor the project in Mtwara, Tanzania aimed at providing accessible water and sanitary facilities. The inhabitants of Mtwara will actively participate in the project by organising educational events in order to draw more attention to clean water, healthcare and hygiene for everyone, young and old.
