Nationwide Hygiene Supplies strengthens its market position via UK expansion

International distributor of cleaning and hygiene products, Nationwide Hygiene Supplies, is delighted to announce the signing of Hygiene Systems to the group. David Scholes, CEO of Nationwide, comments, "We are delighted that such a well respected independent distributor has agreed to join us and strengthen an already formidable UK network."

Hygiene Systems is based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire and has been supplying janitorial products in the UK since 1984. "The company has established a particularly strong reputation in the market for customer service. And in keeping with the other businesses in the Nationwide Group, Hygiene Systems has like-minded business ethics to that of Nationwide as well as having a highly successful management team. The Nationwide group continues to build on the high standards it has set for itself and its customers," David Scholes, CEO Nationwide.

The arrival of Hygiene Systems takes the number of Nationwide branch operations within the UK, Channel Islands and Ireland to 31 with an annual turnover now approaching Ł100million. Jackie Sims, Managing Director of Hygiene Systems along with Peter Bangay the Finance director are the principal shareholders of the company. Jackie is also an active board member of the Cleaning and Hygiene Suppliers Association (CHSA).

Peter Bangay said “We share the same principles as Nationwide so it is a great way for us to move forward and be able to support and underpin the many benefits that the group will bring to us.”
