Brush up on BICSc
March 5th 2009

The British Institute of Cleaning Science is the leading provider of education and innovation to the cleaning industry. As an accreditation organisation, the Institute offers a number of certificated assessment schemes tailored to the needs of the industry including the Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate (COPC), Food Premises Cleaning Certificate (FPCC), Healthcare Professional Cleaning Certificate (HPCC) and the Cleaning Supervisors Skills Certificate (CSSC). All schemes are delivered through approved training centres, including in house and external organisations.

Membership offers many benefits for both companies and individuals, including access to our technical helpdesk, discount on legal and healthcare insurance and a quarterly magazine. Corporate members are listed on the BICSc website, are entitled to use the BICSc logo on stationery, literature, etc. and receive discounts on training material and individual memberships.

During the last year, the Institute has re-vamped its processes and procedures to provide a more streamlined and effective service to its members, assessors and the training centres. There are now three separate areas – Membership Services, Training & Education and Qualifications and Standards which enable queries, membership, certification and centre information to be handled by the dedicated teams within those departments.

Further information can be found on our website Click here. Come and see us at the Cleaning Show on Stand C40 to find out about our schemes, how to become a member and to discuss your training and educational needs.
