Tender Assistance Service October 29th 2008 Firms tendering for industrial cleaning contracts could benefit from a new RoSPA service designed to help them through a process that some see as a time-consuming minefield.
The Tender Assistance Service has been launched to help companies of all sizes to meet the health and safety requirements stipulated in many tender documents.
RoSPA believes the way a firm approaches health and safety speaks volumes about its overall values and professionalism, and a good record on accident prevention and health is increasingly seen as conferring a competitive advantage.
If the record is well presented in a tender, the company says it might be the one thing that sets a submission apart from all the others. Winners of RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards, for example, have cited that public recognition of their achievements in this sphere has proved valuable when tendering for new contracts.
Through the new service, RoSPA consultants are able to give telephone advice and, where appropriate, face-to-face guidance.
